Character of the Month Nightshade A nicely created character that is the Fire Nation Queen, that has a unique and different history from most of the animals on Shadows. A fun character to role-play with and is role-played by the amazing member, Nightshade! Member of the Month Element The creator of Shadows, Element is a funny and kind administrator of the site. Always on and willing to help others that are having trouble. She is always role-playing and stalking the c-box waiting for somebody to chat with. Thread of the Month as i enter the shadows (open) "as i enter the shadows," is an interesting thread that is between two wolves and a lynx! The Ruling Water Terra is a beautiful place. A large tropical forest with many waterfalls and creeks in it surround the place. Bordering the tropical forest is a large open field filled with lush green grass with some large trees here and there offering shade. Leave the meadow and you come to a beach with white sand and sparkling clear-blue water. This beach borders the freeland Ocean View and it's not a long walk from this beach to get to Ocean View.

I'm pretty sure you can guess how this place got its name cant you? Here these caverns run underground making a series of dead ends, serious drops, underground watering hole but in the deepest part where only the King and Queen may reach or go is something very valuable to the Fire Nation. As well with it being water here there is a small active volcano.

A large forest makes up one side of this kingdom, while the other is made up of steppe and barren plains. There is a river dividing the two halves, and in the middle of the forest, there is a lake. In that lake, one island stands. This is the home of the Air Queen. To the West, a large mountain hovers.

Whispering Meadow is a large meadow that is filled with tall blades of green grass and flowers. This place is always full of life and the smell of flowers is intoxicating. Whispering Meadows is surrounded by a thick jungle and a faint sea breeze can be smelled when the wind is just right. Animals come here to be claimed as mates.
The Ocean View is along stretch of beach that goes for miles before it reaches a deep jungle on either side. The water is a clear sapphire blue that gently laps the shore of pure white sand. Wind is always howling in any animals ears and the smell of salt is very strong. Many animals walk down this beach for some peace and quiet, taking in the beautiful view. off the shore of the beach is Tropical Island filled with waterfalls and dense forest, at low tide a small sandy bridge appears and the equines can walk to this island.
Tropical Island is only accessible at low tide off of Ocean View. A sandy path leads the way to this beautiful island filled with dense forest and waterfalls. A few open meadows and small ponds can be found on this island. Animals come here to breed with their mates or just looking for some fun for the night.
Blue Mountains are a spectacular view to see in the early morning or late evening for the blue look they give off. Thick evergreen forest covers the mountain sides and often a thick fog will cover the mountains.
On the other side of the Blue Mountains lies a large desert that stretches for miles. The sand in this desert is bright white and extremely hot to the touch. Always hot during the day and extremely cold at night. Few plants grow here and it rarely rains. Rogues and those exiled from a Nation often reside in the desert.
